24 x 7 Monitoring
We will monitor your web site 24 hours per day for a 7-day period
at intervals of 15, 30 or 60 minutes. Connections can be at different
line speeds (e.g. 56k, 64k etc.) and different ISP's (e.g. Freeserve,
BTOpenWorld) to accurately emulate the end user experience
Response Time and Availability monitoring
During the monitoring period we will measure the response time taken
to service a specific transaction (i.e. search for goods online) and record
any instances where completion was not possible
In depth analysis in the event of a service level exception
Response times will be monitored against agreed service level targets.
In the event of a service level exception we will collect detailed diagnostic
information to help determine the cause of the problem. The information
typically shows:
- which page elements (i.e. gifs, jpegs etc.) took the longest to download
- the traffic flow between the browser and web server
- network errors encountered during page download
- summary statistics on key application performance data
- network utilisation during download
Page and Transaction monitoring
Monitoring can be a single page (Home Page) or a business scenario
consisting of multiple pages. In each case performance information will
be provided at the page detail level
Customised reporting
At the end of the monitoring period we will provide you with a customised
report detailing how your web site performed against an agreed set of
targets, which areas were problematic and the possible causes. Our System
Engineers will also make recommendations on how the performance and availability
of your web site can be improved.
ISP Performance Comparison
Performance can be compared against a number of UK-based ISP's to
establish which service providers provide the fastest most reliable connection
to your web site
Web site Scalability Testing
Scalability testing simulates hundreds or thousands of concurrent
users performing key business transactions on your web site. You receive
the data you need to understand how your web site performs during heavy
traffic. By pinpointing potential bottlenecks you have the confidence
