These new releases offer organisations a comprehensive suite of testing solutions to manage application quality and performance. Additionally, these releases complement the Compuware Application Reliability Solution (CARS), a comprehensive quality management offering combining people, process and products.
"As businesses become increasingly reliant on software to improve profitability and market reach, today's CIOs are working more collaboratively with other executives to make strategic decisions on what applications are developed and how they will be deployed," said Elizabeth Maly, Marketing Director of Compuware Quality Solutions. "Compuware QACenter testing solutions provide IT teams with comprehensive testing tools that improve application quality and productivity to help align testing efforts with business objectives."
Compuware QACenter Enterprise Edition
In QACenter Enterprise Edition, enhancements have been made to
TestPartner, its functional testing solution. Compuware TestPartner 5.3
includes improved support for Microsoft .NET and extended support for
all environments with Unicode enablement, enabling companies to test mission
critical applications regardless of language. This powerful new release

and includes additional capabilities for both development and QA teams.
Autodesk, Inc. is the world's leading software and services company for
the building, manufacturing, infrastructure, digital media and wireless
data services fields. Autodesk uses Compuware TestPartner 5.3 to test
Autodesk Architectural Desktop 2006, the company's latest release of its
AutoCAD-based design and documentation productivity solution for architects.
"The enhanced .NET support in Compuware TestPartner 5.3 allows our QA team to test our .NET features in an automated test environment," said Paul Sweet, Software Engineer at Autodesk, Inc. "Until now, we have not been able to do that without utilising in-house developed tools. With Compuware TestPartner's new Object for .NET feature, we will be able to cover and test more of our code, ensuring the quality of our product." StatPro, a leading provider of portfolio analytics for the global asset management industry, uses Compuware TestPartner 5.3 for regression and generic testing. "Compuware TestPartner 5.3 helps our QA and development teams automate full regression and generic tests on our applications, increasing the quality of our products," said Bastien Maiziere, QA Analyst at StatPro. "Automation has a cost in terms of time and money. But when it's done properly, automation is an investment with a positive return. Compuware TestPartner is clearly the most adept and efficient tool for that."
Compuware QACenter Performance Edition
In Compuware QACenter Performance Edition, enhancements have been
made to its load testing solution for the packaged application market.
Compuware QALoad 5.2 now offers additional support for OracleAS

support for the SAP 6.40 Windows GUI and improving Compuware QALoad's
web middleware support to handle SAP Portal-based applications.
Other new features in Compuware QALoad 5.2 include enhancements to reporting and results analysis. Additionally, real-time feedback is available during test execution allowing for on-the-fly assessments. Post-test analysis has been strengthened with the addition of the "Worst Performing Checkpoints" report quickly identifying and detailing the most time-intensive actions simulated during the test.
Mexican insurance provider, Grupo Nacional Provincial (MXK:GNP) was experiencing low speed time responses and receiving error pages on their web service called "Portal GNP," which is used by GNP insurance agents to access insurance rates and services. "By using Compuware QALoad 5.2, our development team was able to easily simulate load tests, quickly identify the cause of the bottlenecks and increase the overall capacity of Portal GNP by more than ninety percent, greatly improving GNP's business operations." said Alfonso Montero, QA Manager at Grupo Nacional Provincial.
