Compuware Announces Support Plans for IBM zAAP

Compuware Strobe to Provide Application Performance Analysis for Java Applications Running on IBM's New zSeries Application Assist Processor
London, UK - 12th April, 2004 - Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ: CPWR) today announced its intention to provide Compuware Strobe support for IBM's zSeries Application Assist Processor (zAAP), planned to be available on the IBM eServer z990 and zSeries 890 servers. Specifically, Compuware Strobe will provide application performance analysis for Java applications utilising the new IBM zAAP execution environment on the zSeries platform. Compuware Strobe helps IT organisations deliver efficient and responsive z/OS and S/390 applications that perform optimally throughout the life-cycle.
In recognition of the business needs of its customers, Compuware plans to participate in an IBM Early Support Programme for ISVs for the zSeries Application Assist Processor (zAAP), if offered. As an active participant, Compuware will take part in the testing of Compuware Strobe for Java with zAAP in its early release stage. Compuware's testing will include planned delivery and support of specific Compuware products for validation in zSeries zAAP customer environments.
