Compuware Announces Broadest IT Governance and Management Solution in
the Industry

London, UK - 11th January 2005 - Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ:
CPWR) today announced the release of a new version of its IT governance
solution, Compuware IT Governance by Changepoint. This release
delivers the industry's broadest integrated IT governance and management
capabilities through integrations across Compuware's development, quality
and service management offerings. The new version will begin shipping
on the 15th January, 2005.
Compuware defines integrated IT governance and management as unified business management processes and systems that enable consolidated control and visibility over the key IT portfolios of projects, applications and infrastructure. Compuware's vision is to provide IT management with a complete picture of the performance of technology investments, enabling more effective governance, improved decision-making and proactive management of IT value and risk.

Organisations will also be able to assess service level performance from both service request responsiveness and application availability and reliability perspectives.
Project Portfolio Management
Compuware's IT governance solution will also provide unmatched risk management
and project health monitoring capabilities for software development projects.
By integrating with the Compuware Application Reliability Solution (CARS),
project portfolios that contain development projects will benefit from
new metrics that communicate a software quality index. This integration
not only increases the accuracy of tracking and evaluating a project's
health and risk, it also reduces the administrative burden of collecting
and entering data into multiple systems for reporting.
Performance Reporting and Integrated Workflow
IT executives and managers gain a broader and more complete view of the
performance of projects, applications and infrastructure through management
reports and a configurable portal that offer information originating in
Compuware IT Governance by Changepoint, other Compuware solutions
and third party applications. Operations management and staff will also
benefit from integrated request assignment and tracking workflow tied
to alerts generated by Vantage and Fault Manager. This integrated workflow
will ensure that issues are acted on in a timely fashion and provide valuable
management visibility into service responsiveness, resource utilisation,
allocation and cost.
