CU2004 to Feature Exclusive Access to New Compuware Uniface Products, Proven Business Solutions and Networking Opportunities

Global Uniface User Conference to Attract Hundreds, With Theme of "Building a Bright Future"

London, UK - 8th November 2004 - Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ: CPWR) today announced the revival of its annual Compuware Uniface users conference, CU2004, which will be held on the 6th and 7th December, 2004, at the Royal Tropical Institute in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. CU2004 will provide attendees with an exclusive, first look at the yet-to-be-announced Uniface 9 development solution. The event will also feature other new products and proven business solutions, as well as a wealth of information and networking opportunities to Uniface users globally. The theme for this year's event is "Building a Bright Future."

"The resurgence of the annual Uniface user conference is very exciting, particularly as this year marks the 20th anniversary of Compuware Uniface," said Irene Dawson, Senior Vice President, Compuware. "Uniface continues to build on its strong heritage of delivering strategic applications amid constant technology and business innovation. Combined with its technology independence, Uniface's ability to rapidly build, renew and integrate large and complex enterprise applications makes it more popular today than any time in its 20-year history."

CU2004 will attract several hundred developers, development managers, project managers, software engineers, architects, CIOs and even CEOs. It is the only opportunity for Uniface users worldwide - from Australia to America, from Norway to Nigeria - to meet peers, share experiences and best practices. Covering the breadth and depth of business and technical needs, there will be business-level and technical presenters from around the world, including Japan, Australia and the U.S. Presenters will include not only Uniface users and customers but also internationally acclaimed IT industry thought leaders, such as Jeff Mann, Vice President, META Group.

The conference will also feature Uniface partners with vendor displays and presentations. Sponsors include Compuware, GraphOn, HP, ITIS, March Hare, Popkin Software and Sogeti. In addition, Uniface users will have the opportunity to network during the Uniface 20th anniversary cocktail reception, conference dinner and entertainment programme. Compuware is also offering optional training workshops and a Value Added Reseller (VAR) networking event on the 8th December.

"This is the premier event for Uniface users globally to come together, learn from each other and to get first-hand access to upcoming products and product benefits," said Udo Pott, CU2004 Uniface Users Steering Committee, representing the German user group.

Uniface is Compuware's development environment for building, renewing and integrating the largest and most complex enterprise applications. It provides high developer productivity and functionality and helps businesses reduce TCO for business critical applications while increasing ROI for the entire IT budget.
